Can I connect two Whole Home discs by Ethernet?

Go to solution

My property has some hardwired cat 6 cabling between house and garage, which is a distance the discs struggle with for WiFi mesh.

Do the discs support being connected with a cable in this scenario so your same mesh, SSID can spread over a wider area? If so is there any configuration needed or do you just plug them in?

Hi @MrBoy

Yes, you can connect more than one disc to your hub (router) using the Ethernet cables. Which will allow you to place a disc a long distance from your hub (router) - for example, in an outbuilding - and have an Ethernet cable connection back to your hub (router). Just plug in the cable in the disc’s RJ45 socket and it'll join your Whole Home WiFi network.

You can find out more at BT Whole Home Wi-Fi FAQs - Set-up and installation
