Can I purchase an installation of a new master socket 5c?

If so, how much? I want it installed upstairs, will the engineer have tall ladders to do this? I imagine he would have to drill a hole? The cable comes from the overhead pole.

If you're with BT for your phone/broadband, you can request a socket move, the cost is £130

Thank you. Will the old socket have to move? Can it stay there and be decomissioned? I worry about marks on the wall if it is removed. Thank you.

It can stay there if you want or remove it next time you decorate, the engineer will simply change where the master socket is located.

Thanks Richie. One last question, will the old socket be decomissioned, as to no longer be wired up to some data and power circuit? 

I really wanted a new pure socket where the old one's wiring is not in its circuit. Just wire from the pole, to the new socket, that's it.

Yes it will be decommissioned, the new one will be the master socket.
Having extensions is an additional charge, I think £65 for each one.
