I have the exact same problem as shown in this thread here https://community.bt.com/t5/Archive-Staging/Slow-speeds-on-certain-apps-services-only/td-p/2179791
Using wifi some apps (examples: garmin, asda, wikipedia, lloyds) either fail to load or are very slow to load on my Samsung android phone when using wifi at home.
Switching wifi off and using mobile data results in a instant fix, and following the clue in the referenced thread above, so does toggling on or off ULA in the ipv6 advanced settings on the router. The phone does not use ipv6. I have no problems with apps on an ipad and ios although that does use ipv6 addressing set by the router; and no problems with a windows laptop that is set using ipv4 like the phone.
This problem does not occur in houses of family who are using Virgin Media, or so far out and about using public wifi such as in Starbucks or Costa. I have reset the BT router, tried a different nameserver, changed wifi channels, but not found a solution other than toggling ipv6 ULA.
Surely else must have seen this, and found a (better) solution or a way to investigate and debug further?
Thanks
