Connect usb drive to hub for networking

Have plugged usb drive into hub and is showing in Hub Manager but cannot access it via File explorer Network tab. Is there a setting I need to activate or something I need to do to enable the drive to be visible. Am using Windows 11 and the drive is plugged into the USB slot on Smart Hub 2

Re: Connect usb drive to hub for networking

Map a network drive letter to \\192 168.1.254\usb1

You will also need to enable SMB1 as it is disabled by default in W11

Re: Connect usb drive to hub for networking

You may not be able to enable SMB1 in Win11 as SMB1, I think, is a security risk and may not be available in Win11

Re: Connect usb drive to hub for networking

It is disabled by default but is available.

I currently access an external drive connected to the usb port of my hub from a W11 laptop.
