DV SMS messages
DV arrived on Monday and works well. We have 4 phones connected direct and one on the adapter. We were on ex-directory "no calls offered" so don't expect to get rubbish calls. We are now getting messages from Parcel Force about imminent deliveries (an 0845 number). These are read out from a computer generated system which is literal. They occur after we have gone to bed.
I can't see what setting on the BT.com DV page is allowing this. Even the phones mark these as "Nuisance"

Re: DV SMS messages
Hi @gspearson.
Welcome to the BT Community!
This is definitely an odd one, as whilst Digital Voice definitely has call blocking features, texts are handled a bit differently.
Have you had a chance to check out our help guide on Call Protect and how you can block particular numbers?

Re: DV SMS messages
Thanks for the interest. I think I've worked it out. Parcel Force have been sending messages to my phone, my preference, but have confused that with my mobile which I don't use for calls - so a text message intended for my mobile is now coming to my landline number. More worrying are calls from people I don't know, who didn't phone me.
It seems to have settled down now.
The landline phone now classifies some as Nuisance calls - another service I don't want.

Re: DV SMS messages
Thanks for the update @gspearson.
Fingers crossed you can get this updated with Parcel Force and not see the same updates in the future.
Just to be sure are you happy with unknown numbers being flagged as such?
The article I shared above breaks down how you can amend the level of screening and what happens to calls when they come in.

Re: DV SMS messages
Thanks - I'm not worried. I get so few calls that one I don't recognise is always treated with suspicion.
