We've recently been switched over to DV. We have a Draytek 2862 router with 3 other AP's and were all working fine prior to DV switch-over.
I've plugged in the SH2 router and land line phone works again. Changed the ip address range & subnet to not clash with the existing network. Added 2nd network on the draytek and internet connectivity works fine.
The draytek ip address is also in the DMZ
However, NTP is not acquiring time via the internet.
Any suggestions.
Although the Draytek is in the DMZ, you will still be double matting which might be causing the problem.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Certainly NAT is enabled on the 2862 by default as using LAN1 and don’t think I can disable. I can’t find anywhere on the BT SH2 to disable either or am I missing is somewhere?
There's nothing you can do about it. Your Draytek WAN will always have a private address in the Hub's range rather than the public IP address the Hub will have.
I’m not convinced that is your problem.
I have a 2762 connected through the SH2 and I don’t use the DMZ host. NTP works fine. (Just checked it).
Have you tried a different NTP server?
