Anyone had issues with the smart hub simply resetting and entire network going down when trying to download large files?
Tried to download an Xbox update for the boy around 40gb and smart hub just disconnects and resets. Stays on for around 3 minutes and does the same again.
When running normally such as Netflix and normal devices it runs perfect.
BT have checked and advised no issues at there end but will run checks over next 48 hours.

This is most likely to happen if you are trying to do that over a wireless connection, as wireless is easily overloaded especially if there is interference on the wireless channel. That can cause the connection to drop.
If you are using wireless, then try a direct Ethernet connection between the Xbox and the BT Home hub, as that should be more reliable.
Also make sure that Smart Setup is turned off.
