EE Router Password

Hi All

BT have changed me to EE and sent me a new tv box and  router but it will not let me have the old Username and password, it says too short and not secure enough.

I have a lot of devices  like storage batteries, Inverter and many cameras and it will take hours to transfer all items.

So, if  I connect the new EE Router to the internet then connect my old BT Smart Hub2 to my EE Router with an ethernet cable will all my devices auto reconnect, I can then transfer all my devices to my EE Router over a few days

Thanks in advance

Re: EE Router Password

the new BT SH3 is the same but if you continue past the warning then it lets you use your chosen SSID and password possibly EE router the same?

Re: EE Router Password

I tried it and half the devices did not connect

I Googled it and I think I need to enable WAP2 and run a separate system along side the normal WiFi

I have put it back as it was for the time being, it's a bit confusing for someone 70+

I might just "leave well alone

Re: EE Router Password

You can add the older router name and Wifi password to the EE router and then the devices will connect.

Go to Wifi and set it up as Compatible wifi.
