Re: EE Unit - flashing blue logo light

It might be the WiFi protected setup trying to pair with another device.

As a matter of interest, are you a BT branded customer with a EE bit of kit, or a EE branded customer who perhaps might benefit from posting on the EE Community forum?

I didn't realise there was a difference but I am a fully paid up BT Customer, BT phone and BT B'band - no BT TV

Re: EE Unit - flashing blue logo light

Essentially there really isn’t a difference, it’s just a matter of branding. It seems BT customers who renegotiate contracts are now being migrated to the EE brand anyway unless they specifically state that they want to remain on BT’s books or the offer to migrate to EE is more beneficial.

Re: EE Unit - flashing blue logo light

I did just give you a pointer regarding WPS.

I don’t know what bit of kit you’ve got, you  just said you had an EE unit, which I’m guessing came with an instruction pamphlet. Once you’ve determined what model you have, try a Google search of your problem, it usually helps resolves a lot of answers. That, or try the EE forum:

Re: EE Unit - flashing blue logo light

The only reason it will flash blue is when you use the WPS button to connect a wifi device.

It is a Hybrid Connect unit and it is hard wired.

Re: EE Unit - flashing blue logo light

@uptonstl  Have you tried disabling the WPS function on the unit? Or switching the unit off and then back on again.

From a security perspective, it’s usually best to disable the WiFi protected setup (WPS) in the router settings as it is a known exploitable route used by hackers, rare or otherwise.
