Re: Ethernet with FTTP

I disagree. You can see the brown pair twisted at the back. It’s definitely got 4 pairs and the number of twists in the brown pair would suggest it’s a cat 5 cable.

Re: Ethernet with FTTP

Hmm, you could be right, looking at it closely.

Either way, simple matter to swap BT431 faceplate with an RJ45 faceplate.

Re: Ethernet with FTTP

For some reason, in "new built 2022" e.g. refub from offices to residential dwellings, developer insist, as above ONT will be exactly same faceplate, as pictured at start of this thread.

Wiring is little bit "wild" while going to living room, from which is connected to bedroom just over the wall, and from which continue to phone socket aside of bed itself.

They call it "freeview" socket :))))

Simple phone sockets, meant to get phone line distributed over the space, but paradox is, as our Alcatel ONT not consist of any phone socket, and phone is, not surpsisingly provided by Digital Voice over SH2... eventually it still could be used, connected to back of SH2 🙂

I am worry, as beside first socket, it will be unusable for LAN, whilst that instalation itself it's mad 🙂
