Extending SH2 range with BT Flex 600

I need to provide wireless signal to an Amazon Echo Dot well outside range of my SH2. Can I pair a Complete WiFi Disc  with my SH2 then plug it into a spare BT Flex 600 Extender instead of relying on it picking up wireless signal from the SH2?

Re: Extending SH2 range with BT Flex 600

I have 2 complete wi-fi discs paired to my SH 2 one is in a summerhouse well away from the house and hub it works perfectly well to connect devices in the summerhouse and cameras around the house. The disc should suffice on it's own.

Re: Extending SH2 range with BT Flex 600

Thanks Hildener, its not just the distance, there are three load bearing walls between SH2 and device.  I've used the BT signal strength app, which indicates that the signal drops off after 4.5m and two walls, leaving one more wall and 4.0 m for the Complete WiFi disc signal to reach the Echo Dot in the location it has to be. If the two emitters are of similar power it should be ok,  but hardwiring via Flex600 would eliminate the uncertainty and presumably provide better performance.  I'm trying to avoid spending £100 on the disc only to find it won't work.
