Hi, I have a webcam and weather station that until recently would upload weather information and a webcam image to my website every minute. This is now very inconsistant and can sometimes be down by 30mins to an hour with no reasons. I am making sure its not the router or BT before I contact my webspace provider, although in the past they have said it is not their end.
Is there a way to check?
You could simply run a speed check to see if you upload speed has dropped, although I doubt such a small upload requirement would be affected by this.
Perhaps the webcam and weather station are losing connectivity with the home hub, especially if they are connected via wireless?
It could be the FTP host, but unless you have a means of monitoring the outgoing connection, its going to be difficult to prove.
Assuming they are connected to your home hub using wireless, then you could look at the home hub event log to see if you are seeing any wireless disconnections.
If you have no special rules configured on the home hub, then a factory reset of the home hub would be worth a try.
are the camera and webcam connected using wifi to hub? if so have you tried changing the wifi channel in the hub
Could it be that the wifi channel in the hub has been set to auto and is changing thus causing the drop in connection?
I have tried everything... I have turned both Avast off and Windows firewall still no success or intermittent. My weather station was ofline for 1hr both stats and webcam image. So i turned the router off and all is fine. This is the only way I can resolve this, restarting the router. Surely there must be a solution for this
Did you try a factory reset of the home hub?

Hi Yes, I did this over a week ago to see if that would resolve it, but still having the same issues.
