Faulty Smarthub2 ?

Hi everyone hope you can help.

Had fibre to the house installed in June,speeds excellent.However over the last couple of weeks Hybrid Connect has kicked in at least 5 times,meaning speeds plummet and the digital voice phone goes out of service.An engineer came on Thursday and stated that everything outside was fine and factory reset the hub as well.All good until an hour ago when Hybrid connect kicked in again,lasted an hour but now fine.Certain it will happen again today so could the Smarthub be knackered,had it approximately 4years.
