Hi All, I recently moved to BT from Virgin. Virgin connectivity was coming from a coax socket conveniently located in the centre of my flat which made wired connections easy. With BT fibre, it's coming via the openreach modem which is hidden away and not possible to link directly via ethernet cables.
I have a phone socket next to the old coax port that I was hoping to use, is there a way to utilise this or is it a no go?
Any other ideas as to how to enable wired connections in another room are welcome, I'm currently thinking of buying a wifi extender as I don't have the complete wifi package

The phone socket is of no use.
You could relocate the BT router by using powerline/homeplug adapters between the Hub & ONT. How effective this would be depends on what speed service you have, which adapters you bought & crucially, the quality of your mains wiring. Pay no attention to the fantastical speeds published on the products & seek out real world reviews for the speed you require.
