If your TV is pre-2023, ie 2022 or older then TP-Link UE300 works. It has to be that exact model. I know the purists will say you only need 25mbps However I like to see the full speed on my Sony TV. My XR-55A95K has a UE300 plugged in. It is useful if you have a media server.

If you have Netflix, see what Get Help, Check your network reports.

I take it, you have tried a full reboot of everything.

My tv is Sony Bravia.  KD49xh8505,  maybe 2020, not sure where that leaves me ?

It makes sense if you are streaming from a NAS using Kodi, Plex etc because of raw file transfer avoiding the need to transcode….but for TV inbuilt apps more than 100Mbps is not needed, barely 50, the entire app and streaming platform is made for it.

I have a NAS, I use Apple TV’s and Infuse and the gigabit is beneficial even if my WiFi is 800Mbps everywhere, I like to hard wire my local streaming, I get what you’re saying, but for streaming on a smart TV with the inbuilt apps there is no requirement at all for it, it simply won’t get used. The inbuilt Ethernet or WiFi will be perfectly fine and in a lot of cases the WIFI is if the router is near by.

Hi @Andy68   The UE300 should work perfectly on your TV.
