Hi all,
I've recently upgraded my contract to full fibre 500 from 150.
My current setup is using the TP-Link Deco S4 mesh system. I have one S4 as my router connected to the ONT and two other S4's as access points connected via Wi-Fi. All cables are Cat6 or Cat5e in some cases over short runs.
The issue I have now is the Deco unit won't provide speeds past about 155Mb/s which was fine on my previous contract as that was the cap.
Using the BT SH2 as the router does provide me with the 500Mb/s speeds I should be getting but as per most users here, I do not like the feature it does/does not provide and don't want it handling my internet settings where possible.
Could someone walk me through the best way to Connect my devices like so: ONT>SH2>Deco S4?
Is there a way to do this without double NAT? I have a lot of IoT devices and a NAS server that require port forwarding.
Many thanks.

Two options.
1. ONT > SH2 LAN port > Deco LAN port in AP mode
2. ONT > SH2 LAN port > Deco WAN port in router mode.
Option 1. SH2 doing all the routing.
Option 2 SH2 and Deco routing. Double natting.
Thanks for your reply.
I've done some messing around with it tonight and I can't get either of your options to work.
My Deco has a red error light and can't receive internet access which ever way I seem to set it up.
Edit: a factory reset did the trick
This really shouldn't be that difficult... Not sure what I'm doing wrong
What is the wifi spec of the Deco S4? Can it achieve 500Mbps?
AC1200
5 GHz: 867 Mbps (802.11ac)
2.4 GHz: 300 Mbps (802.11n)
And two gigabit ports.
Should manage, no? Getting speeds of ~300Mbs over 5ghz WiFi currently.
