Getting an EE Smart Hub Plus

Go to solution

I have just renewed my contract and within a few days I will be switched to digital voice and getting the new Smart Hub Plus with the hybrid add on.  I have not had a happy relationship with various Smart Hubs and Smart Hub 2s and have been using a Tp-Link router quite successfully.  My question is this :

if I do have to go back to my own router is it still homehub@btroadband.com

with the password BT ?

Thanks in advance

You won't be able to use Digital Voice with a third party router

But the Smart Hub Plus according to EEs site does have the phone socket on the back for digital voice so it should work with that

Hi liquorice
Yes, I understand that and, whilst I would like to retain the phone number, if the hub is not all it’s cracked up to be, I’d rather go back to my own router for broadband only, hence my wanting to check if the current log in will still work.

Yes, PPPoE details are still bthomehub@btbroadband.com and BT

@dikul

When you move, EE have their own user forum to help with issues.

https://community.ee.co.uk/

That would be the best place to post, once you move.
