Hello friends ! I'm now the proud owner of a Hybrid Connect box. It's connected to the Hub via ethernet and I have a "Poor" 4G signal. Today I tested the changeover by switching off the power to the fibre connection box. Yes, it changed over to 4G 🙂 but it didn't change back again when I restored the power to the fibre box. I had to restart the Hub and it's all back again now.
2 Questions:
1 Should the system have switched back to fibre by itself?
2 I noticed that the digital phone line working while changed over to the 4G backup - is this correct?
3 There are 2 SMA aerial sockets on the back of the Hybrid Connect box - Does anyone know if these are for 4G or wifi - which one is which?
Question 1
Yes it should switch back automatically. It takes a few minutes though. Allow 5 minutes to be certain it isn’t going to.
Q2
I haven’t had any reason to test this, but I don’t believe Digital Voice should work via the hybrid connect.
Q3
They are both for 4G.
The WiFi signal from the hybrid connect to hub is pretty good, so don’t be afraid of finding the strongest 4G signal in your house and using WiFi instead of Ethernet.

Hi @Highland_Tim I assumed 4G and I did try a couple of pairs of 4G antennas. It didn't make any difference for me 😂 and returned to sender.
Likewise.
Thanks for the reply. I probably didn't wait long enough for the system to change back to normal. Re the phone, I can live with that. Re the wifi, I'm struggling to find somewhere in the house where I get a decent wifi signal to the Hybrid Connect and get a decent 4G signal, hence the ethernet as I had a spare cable in a sensible place.
Thanks for the replies
I've now plugged a suitable antenna, which I happened to have kicking around, into one of the SMA connectors, pointed in the right direction that's changed 4G signal indicator one one bar to two and the system now says the signal is "good" rather than "poor". Problem solved .
