Help connecting my router

Hi I recently bought a to link archer ax18 router but I don’t know how to get it to work I have seen similar questions but some of the things don’t apply to me because I have a phone line but I don’t use it and I don’t have by tv my full fiber is purely for internet nothing else but I saw others saying that either you need to somehow make the smart hub 2 go into a bridging in mode or something I have no clue although I also saw that only works for business hubs which I don’t have can I just plug my router into the white thing in the wall sorry if I’m stupid

Re: Help connecting my router

If you have full fibre and don't require a phone service, you just need to connect the ONT (the white Openreach modem) to the WAN port of the router.

Use the setup wizard and when it asks for the PPPoE credentials enter the generic details which are username bthomehub@btbroadband.com and password BT

@Princessjess

Why did you buy a new router?

For most the BT supplied kit is adequate.

Re: Help connecting my router

Because I’m supposed to get 1000mbps but I’m only getting 170 and it’s not stable it fluctuates too much so I want a more reliable connection but also I worry it’s not working to its full potential because it’s trying to do more than I need I need internet I don’t need a phone or tv or anything so instead I want something solely focused on internet
