Home Hub 2

Connected my modem into a 4 plug extension cord. Before doing this the modem was working fine. When I plugged it in it blew the fuse in the extension cord. I then put the modem back into the socket and it was showing solid orange. Would any damage have been caused to the modem even though there is still power going to the modem??

Re: Home Hub 2

No idea why, but it doesn't sound as though you have done it any good. Try a factory reset and see if that helps.

I assume by 'modem' you mean the Home Hub2 as per title of thread rather than a separate modem.

Re: Home Hub 2

Yeah the home hub 2 I mean. I was on with the support team and an engineer coming out, but I was maybe wandering if it may have happened to somebody else.

the support team made me go through all the factory reset but it didn’t work. I find it strange cause their is power going to the modem with it having a solid orange light.

Re: Home Hub 2

Whatever blew the fuse obviously caused a surge that borked the hub.
