I have an unknown device connecting to my Wi-fi.
Switching Wi-fi off, for several minutes, then restarting doesn't remove it.
It's not my mobile. What is it?
BT Smart Hub Manager will not allow me to remove it - Red Circle with Diagonal when I hover the cursor over the Remove 'button'.
Any help welcome.
Thanks
Do you any Sky devices as the MAC would appear to be for one.
Try looking up the vendor of the MAC address
It could well be your mobile or another device set to use MAC randomisation, which most are by default. That means each time the device connects, it uses a phantom MAC address rather than the real one. Then next time it connects it uses a different one & the last one becomes orphaned as an unknown device. Only a factory reset will clear them together with turning off the feature on each device for your home network.
As @gg30340 said earlier, it's a Sky device.
Whatever device it is, it has your WiFi password.
Change your WiFi password and see what doesn't connect.
Deleting a device from the network map doesn't do anything except remove a non-connected entry from the list.
