How do I separate the incoming connection/signal to the outgoing connection/signal?
as a gamer I feel as there is an imbalance when playing online games so I wonder if it’s possible to split the 2 as there are 2 wires that the connection comes in on?
thanks
It does not work that way. Broadband uses both wires to establish a connection. Internet traffic is passed in both directions over that connection.
The service is asynchronous, and priority is normally given to the download path.
You would need to that in your router. The BT Home Hub does not have that ability.
On a VDSL connection, more usable frequency bandwidth is allocated for download usage, so there is a limit to what you could achieve on a router using QOS (Quality Of Service) controls as you cannot alter the way that upload data is handled over the BT core network.
