Hi all,
I have Hub 6 and am awaiting delivery of 3 whole home discs. I currently run an Ethernet cable directly from the hub to a powerline adapter which connects to TV’s upstairs and downstairs.
Since the first disc effectively becomes the router I have no way to connect the powerlines, or is there a splitter I can install on the first disc such that the signal can be received into the disc for Wi-Fi, but would also provide a signal to the powerlines.
Hope this make sense. I know I could potentially rely on Wi-Fi for the TV’s and do away with the powerlines but I am not confident that the signal would be good enough.
Solved! Go to Solution.
The discs does not effectively become the router, they are in effect wireless access points. Just leave the powerline connections as they are and they will continue to work just as they do now. There are other Ethernet ports on the hub that you can connect the disc to.
Many thanks for the response, that’s exactly what I hoped the response would be!
