Hybrid Connect to UDM SE

New install going in and I wondered if I can use the hybrid connect for my back up line on my udm SE ?

Has anyone done this and is it difficult to setup or just connect via the lan and away you go ?

im not running the home hub by the way… it’s ONT direct to the Ubiquiti SE

thanks

Thanks in advance

Re: Hybrid Connect to UDM SE

As far as I'm aware, the Hybrid Connect can only be used in conjunction with th Smart Hub2

Re: Hybrid Connect to UDM SE

Ah? BT gave me this and said it can be used until they connect up my new house? Don’t have a home hub at all yet so assumed it could be used independently?

Thanks in advance

Re: Hybrid Connect to UDM SE

Are you sure they sent you a hybrid connect and not a 4G mini hub?

A 4G mini hub is a standalone router using a 4G signal to provide a service, the hybrid connect provides 4G resilience but only via a Smart Hub 2.

Re: Hybrid Connect to UDM SE

Thanks for this, it was a hybrid connect indeed. After a quick call to BT they are sending the other one now. Only good for 60 days though it seems?
Told me to call them once connected to take the hybrid off the contract as it’s useless to me as I’m using a third party router..

shame I cannot keep the other one

Thanks in advance
