Ipv6 and deco x60

On my deco app it shows no information on an ipv6 connection. I can see everything on an ipv4 connection when I test my ipv6 connection it says I do not have one how can I make this work? My deco is set up as a PPPoE

Re: Ipv6 and deco x60

How have you configured the Deco for IPv6?

BT use /56 PD

Re: Ipv6 and deco x60

Can't lie I really don't know I have it turned on etc and followed settings in here. If I have it on PPPoe then I get no internet connection at all so I have to turn it back to dynamic.

Re: Ipv6 and deco x60

Where it says internet connection type try PPP.  If that doesn’t work try DHCP IPv6 client.

Re: Ipv6 and deco x60

You also need to set Prefix Delegation to /56

Re: Ipv6 and deco x60

If I change it to PPPoE it cuts my internet completely off

Re: Ipv6 and deco x60

I assume you have the Deco X60 running as a router, plugged into a router from BT.  If you are happy with the services provided by the BT router and just want to use the Deco for WiFi, then you may be able to set up the Deco, as just a Mesh system.  If you "double NAT" the Deco, so it's running as a router behind the BT router, I believe you'd actually need to set the IPV6 mode on the Deco to "passthru". This would mean that the BT router still allocate IPv6 addresses to your devices.

*All based on that one assumption!

Re: Ipv6 and deco x60

I followed advice from here a few years back and have my wire straight into the deco so it acts as my router. I set it up as PPPoE. This is the settings for the ipv4

Re: Ipv6 and deco x60

Wired directly to the ONT (or modem) Dynamic IP (sometimes called Native) should be correct.  So I can't see that you are actually doing anything wrong!  What is weird in your original screenshot, I would expect the router IP to be the WAN address followed by "::1".

*Just one last thought, check on your local devices to see if they have IPv6 enabled and if they are receiving an address, and don't trust some of the Check IPv6 websites!  Beyond that, I'll bow out here!

Re: Ipv6 and deco x60

On my son's pc when I searched online it's saying I have no access to ipv6. When I was in a coffee shop I tested the ipv6  and it showed my phone wasn't connected to it but it was available.
