Is this a scam - BT Hub 2 wifi asking for sign in

When I try to access the WiFi  on any device, it asks for a sign in with BT or EE. Is this a scam or do I need to log in?

Problem is, its blocking Internet access for all my devices, I can't do anything to make it go away

Try switching off your hub for five mins.

Have you paid your bill? that message appears when you've been restricted for non-payment, if you pay by direct debit, check the payment went through.

Rather than possibly causing embarrassment with household members, it requests you ask the account holder to get in touch.
