Laptop drops connection when turned on

When I turn my laptop on (Lenovo Legion), our WiFi extender disconnects showing a red light.

Does anyone know of any resolution to this and a potential cause as to why this happens?

Erm....maybe somehow the extender and your laptop have the same IP address which is pretty unlikely but would cause an issue.

I assume the laptop is using WIFI, what about if you switch off WIFI on the laptop, does it still kill the extender?

also which extender is it?
