I've just moved from a BT Smarthub to the EE equivalent. When I try and connect my Android tablet
to the wifi it fails to connect and also fails to remember the password.
I enter the wifi passord and hit connect. After a short pause it says "saved" but never connects.
I have successfully connected 4 other android devices to this new wifi service.
I have tried telling it to forget the connection but this doesn't help. I've tried telling it to forget
all network settings - again no help.
The device is a Lenovo tablet and is running Android 9. No later updates appear to be available.
If I turn on mobile hotspot on my Samsung phone, this Lenovo tablet will connect to that instead and work.
I don't want to factory reset the tablet.
Any Ideas
Factory reset the hub instead, as it may be stopping the device from authenticating.
A device will not remember the connection if it fails to authenticate.
If you have moved to EE, then they have a separate community forum.
Have you tried restarting the tablet?
I would still try a factory reset of the hub, as there may still be an issue with it. Try a different wireless mode on the hub, as I assume its similar to the BT one.
