I have a few local machines in my local internet including a nas
Often these machines seem to lose track of each other.
for example I turn on my laptop and I can ping the router but trying to ping/access my nas fails, even using its local ip and with the router saying the machine is connected
after a while the ping starts working again and I can connect normally
I just don’t understand what’s slowing this down so much. It’s like the machine went to sleep and the router forgot it existed even though I’m actively using each of them.
this started recently as well. Before I would attempt to connect to my nas and I could hear the machine waking from sleep and the shared drive would connect at first go (albeit a bit slowly)
now I have to ping it for about 2 to 3 minutes until it finally remembers that it exists
any ideas?
