My den is 60 feet away from where the fibre will come up into the building. The ONT will need to go where the fibre terminates. I'd like the SB2 in my den for several reasons. I have a desktop machine that needs to be run up once a week plus the wifi can reach a smart TV in another room. Can the SB2 and ONT be connected by a cable of 60 feet or does the SB2 and ONT have to be close together(which gives me a power problem as well)?

I take it by SB2 you mean the Smart Hub 2 (SH2)? The distance between the SH2 and the ONT can theoretically be up to 100m as that is the spec. for the cat 5e ethernet cable used.
You're welcome.
I will add that while any good quality cat 5e cable will do, cat 6 might be worth while if it is going to be a permanent install. While officially still rated for 1 Gb/s at up to 100m, unofficially it is widely reported to be able to handle up to 10Gb/s at up to 55m. If providers are going to continue pushing 1.6 and eventually 2.5Gb/s, cat 6 will be more future proof.
