Hi i will be having Octoplus broadband who use the cityfibre network will they cancel my existing broadband account with BT and end My services with them or will I need to contact BT thanks

You need to ask Octoplus that question.
I don't believe 'gaining provider led switching' has been implemented yet between Openreach and CityFibre meaning you'll need to place the cancellation order with BT yourself.
Bear in mind you'll need to give a month I believe so worth doing sooner rather than later once you know your go-live date with you new provider.
I would however probably schedule a few days where they both work just in case there's any issues on 'go-live' date wit CityFibre.
