just connect the ONT by ethernet to WAN port on router. then connect ethernet from remaining router ports to the plate in the garage - each connection will be to a different outlet. you may need to buy and a 4/6 port switch to give you more ethernet connections then connect devices by ethernet from outlets in each room to your devices
