Re: Parental controls

Log on to my BT

Search out "manage your extras "

You'll find the options to switch it off there.

Re: Parental controls

That doesn't work as it says that Parental Control is not activated but it is.

Had exact same issue with trying to opt out of BT Wi-Fi

Re: Parental controls

Hi @NicNac,

Thanks for visiting the BT Community

Just double checking but when you are trying to access a blocked page the page you are getting is the BT Parental controls page where it says "URL has been blocked by BT Parental controls because the account holder has strict/moderate etc filter on". With the allow access if you are the account holder button below that?

Just with it showing off in your online account, want to make sure it is the BT parental controls restricting you and not something else. If you have a delete settings beneath the on/off tab for BT Parental controls in your online account, make sure that is deleted.

If it definitely is BT Parental controls and they are showing off already, if you contact our technical team that should lead to them raising a support ticket with an offline team for further support in getting it resolved for you.

Re: Parental controls

Turns out that the local BT DNS server is not up to date and is serving up an old IP address for ******** which does not provide a secure connection.   Using dns.google which references the correct IP address for ******** and problem is solved.
