Password for wifi restrictions

Go to solution

Can I have an 8 digit pwd which is all capital letters as my wifi pwd I need to be able to use my ptrvious alexa pwd so the setup with her is auto and that means using the same password that I used with a previous isp.

It works every time I change isp until I went with vodafone who require a 12 digit pwd with mixed upper lower numbers and symbols

If BT allows me to have an 8 digit all caps then I will join.

Please don't tell me anything other than what I ask I have been through all the work arounds and none work.

Thanks folks!

Yes, the Smart Hub2 allows 8 all caps as password.

Hub2 will not let me change my ssid to the old one is their a restriction on letter count its 3 words 17 letters when I click save nothing happens and if I refresh the bt one is back in the space

I got it I had to turn off 5ghz change it then turn it back on.

So far the service is very slow compared to vodafone!

You need to run the words together with no spaces.

Your initial query asked if 8 capitals was allowed.

Now you are saying you want 17 letters with spaces to match the old password.

As the service will be delivered from the same port over the same wires as Vodafone, it will be the same speed.

Perhaps if you added "Edit" prior to "I got it I had to turn off 5ghz change it then turn it back on". It would have been more distinct that you did this after your initial post because it was not very clear that you managed to enter what you wanted if you read the post as being one message.
