Re: PlayStation Portal WI-FI Issue

My ps5 has an Ethernet plugged in to my smart hub. Would I still keep it plugged in to that or would I have to move it to the mesh?

Re: PlayStation Portal WI-FI Issue

Leaving it connected to the hub would be best as it will not add any load to the mesh.

Re: PlayStation Portal WI-FI Issue

I think I am going the Mesh route but there are so many.....

All I need is to able to use my portal in my lounge (30ft away from router) and upstairs in the bedroom (which gets almost no wifi at the moment as it is opposite side of house.

Are there any people would recommend for this kind of thing? Do I need a mesh with a dedicated backhaul? Dont really want to spend more than £200

Re: PlayStation Portal WI-FI Issue

The Deco M4 with three nodes is £93.99 on Amazon at the moment.  There is no other easy solution which is going to be reliable, which is why BT promote their own BT Complete Wi-Fi system.

Amazon : - TP-Link Deco M4 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System, Up to 4000 sq ft Coverage, Qualcomm CPU, Dual-Band AC1200 with Gigabit Ports, Compatible with Amazon Echo/Alexa, Parent Control, Pack of 3

Re: PlayStation Portal WI-FI Issue

The only other option, which would give coverage in just two rooms, would be

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-wpa4220-tkit/

These rely on the mains wiring to carry the Ethernet connection which can work fairly well.

BT discs or Mesh System?

Hi,

I am looking to increase my Wi-Fi signal around my house as I have a PlayStation Portal which works great until I move in to other rooms away from my router..

Would I better off going with the BT discs or a 3rd mesh system like the TP link etc?

I have had another thread previously talking about my issues with this but after a lot of research I am now deciding between which of these two to get?
