I’ve just purchased a PlayStation portal and it will not connect to my home WiFi under any circumstances. I currently have a smart hub 2 on the fibre 900 package. Everything else connects to my WiFi except this. I can also run PlayStation remote play smoothly too.
I would turn off your home HUB and leave off for over 2 mins and then turn on and try again.
From info online the PS Portal can connect to 5Ghz WIFI so that's not going to be causing issues.
Failing that I would factory reset the HUB - hold down the pin hole button till the HUB light goes green. Had to do that to get my new pixel watch connected the other week.
