Port forwarding settings that I don't recognise

I rarely look at my router's settings, but in anticipation of fibre installation I was going through the browser view to re-familiarise myself with the interface.

In the port forwarding settings I came across an entry I don't recognise.  I am ignorant about what this means or does.  The IP address is the WiFi disc in the room closest to the flats next door that are used for AirBnB.  My quick Googling says that the internal port is associated with "Router Remote Admin".  I might be paranoid, but should I worry that someone has tried to remotely access my router?

Re: Port forwarding settings that I don't recognise

The port has been forwarded automatically by UPnP, no idea why. It is not an attempt to access your router, which is not possible in any case.

Simply disable UPnP on the hub and see if anything stops working.

Hi @DaddyR

Have you had a chance to try @licquorice's suggestion? Let us know how you're getting on please.

Sorry, been caught up on other stuff. I'll delete that port forward when I get home

Also disable UPnP afterwards.

Re: Port forwarding settings that I don't recognise

Well that's weird - after the switch over from copper to fibre yesterday I've checked the router settings in the browser and that port forwarding setting is no longer showing. ???

I've turned of UPnP and will see what happens.  I associate UPnP with online playstation gaming but I haven't done that in a long time.  Would my daughter's Switch also benefit from UPnP for online gaming?

Re: Port forwarding settings that I don't recognise

The port forwarding will come and go as required using UPnP, that's how UPnP works.

It's probably the Switch triggering it.

Re: Port forwarding settings that I don't recognise

UPnP has been off for a few days.  The PS4 connects to PSN.  I've not tried the PS5 yet.  Every other device seems to work OK. My daughter no longer games online on the Switch, she's let the online expire as she thinks it's too expensive (a very wise child at 15!).
