Since the switch over to BT Digital Voice a couple of weeks ago my printer will not actually print. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, cleaned the heads, checked ink which is okay and run a test page which does print but is extremely faint, if I do get anything to print out it is so faint it is unreadable. Before the switch over it was working perfectly and is not that old or used all the time.
Did you have to change to a Smarthub2 in order to get Digital Voice?
There is nothing with Digital Voice that should affect a printer.
If it is printing a test page that is faint and if it is connecting to the Smarthub2 and prints albeit faintly it would appear to be a printer issue.
The printer will not work if you are using the USB cable plugged into the Smarthub 2.
If it is not working with the USB cable plugged directly into your computer it would appear that your printer is faulty. When the printer is plugged in by USB to your computer it is not using the Smarthub2 in any way. You could turn the Smarthub 2 off and the printer would still work.
Have you tried a factory reset of the printer then setting it up again onto you computer as though for the first time although given that when it does print a test page faintly and when it does print it is faint I would still say your printer is faulty and it is a coincidence that it coincided with you getting Digital Voice.
