Re: Forcing the BT Smart Hub 2 to allow 5 GHz by a single device, denying 2.4 GHz?

Hello All,

I want to enroll HP smart ink service and HP team is asking me to lower down Bandwidth to 2.4 Ghz

Is it possible to have 2 bandwidths like 5 and 2 and we can work on switch on and off mode

Please guide

Thanks

Unfortunately the SH2 does not allow you to have separate SSIDs for 2.4 & 5GHz. You can switch either or both off & on through the Admin pages on the SH2.

Not sure what other devices you have or how many but an alternative option is to use a separate Access Point (AP) for the 2.4 band just for those devices that don't work well with the SH2. If you have an old home router/hub lying around you could use that instead of a dedicated AP.
