Replacing Smart Hub 2 with TP Link

Good morning all ,

I'm getting BT full fibre installed this week ,  currently with VM and use a TP Link AX 73 WiFi 6 plugged into the VM hub on modem mode.

Reading up on my options there seems to be differences of opinion on how to do this with the BT system .

In different threads I've seen :

1) plug tp link into smart hub

2) plug tp link straight into ONT and clone Mac address

3) plug tp link into ONT alter the settings in tp link to wireless router and PPPoE

Can anyone give me a definitive on which method is best please ?

Thanks

Re: Replacing Smart Hub 2 with TP Link

I had to use option 1 as my speeds dropped off a cliff when I plugged my Asus AC Wi-Fi mesh system was plugged directly into the 0NT.

If you are getting full speed directly into the 0NT with the TP-Link, I would go with that option though
