Re: Setting up a mesh network

@rbz5416 thanks. I've just set them up and coverage is great but you're right, speeds are under 100mbps. Is this the best I can do with a mesh network or is this a limitation of these white discs specifically?

Re: Setting up a mesh network

Like with most things, you get what you pay for. You can achieve  much faster speeds with mesh WiFi 6 but it costs. I would have expected at least 150mb with those BT discs though but don't have any personal experience with them. as with all WiFi, you ideally need to check your local environment for competing networks from neighbours & set your channels to the least congested.

Re: Setting up a mesh network

Thank you! Yes I suspect I can tweak the settings to get better speeds. I still haven't switched off the Hub's wifi for starters, that will probably be competing. I don't think I can justify the costs of much better equipment, since the room the Hub is in is the one I need the 500mbps, and that's working fine. The discs do seem to solve the coverage problem at least.
