Heya, I've been following this post and I've consistently had these issues since joining as well - but with both YouTube and Google. And the issue is still ongoing.
I've opened a separate ticket for this due to the Google element and also because this shouldn't be marked as 'Solved' just yet. I've referred back to this thread in the post also.
I still have this problem does anyone think it may be due to BT Web Protect as it seems to be the ads that slow any loading. I'll switch it off and see if it removes the problems
