Hi,
My full fibre broadband with digital voice has been suffering from short drop outs once last week and 3/4 times yesterday (minutes not hours). Reported to BT and from my description they decided to send an Openreach technician. He tested the fibre connection and found it functioning correctly. He said it could be a faulty smart hub or ethernet cable. He replaced the ethernet cable. He said he does not carry spare smart hubs and that BT would have to send one.
He said he was not familiar with smart hub event logs which I assumed would be the first port of call for intermittent faults.
I was hoping someone on the forum would have the knowledge to interrogate the event log. The call centre did not offer to check it when asked.
My wife is less than impressed with this change to DV as she was on a call when the internet dropped.
My first check would be the lights on the ONT, the PON light should be rock solid On with not a flicker and the LOS light should be rock solid Off with not a flicker
