Stopping son using Whole Home app

Hi,

I've just discovered that my son also has the whole home app on his phone and so can resume devices that we pause.

Is there a way I can stop this access? Wasn't sure if just changing the admin password would do that or do I need to remove the app from his phone as well?

Thanks,

Trying to defeat kids with technology is futile.

Re: Stopping son using Whole Home app

Take away his no doubt expensive phone and give him a Doro Phone Easy one. That should solve the problem. He can still text and make calls which are the raison d'etre of phone ownership.😐

When he's older and more wise and is earing money, he can make his own choice.

Even if you change the password all he needs to do is factory reset the Smarthub and it will restore it to the default password  ( Doing that is easily found with an Internet search so no secrets are being given out) and all you will achieve is a never ending password battle.

Take his devices off him until he plays by the house rules.

Of course that's only true if he knows the default password.  Remove the labels.  If he already has the password get a new smart hub two.  Remove the labels before he sees it.  They're cheap enough on Amazon.
