Hi.
So I've currently got the home hub Halo 3 and since having it my xbox one won't connect to the Internet as its saying that I need rommto reprogram my router protocols to WPA2/3, WPA2, WPA or WEP
It's saying my router uses something else.... Can anyone tell me what the something else is and how to get it to do one of these WPA listed above please?
I am a tech dinosaur so please be patient with me.......
Thanks in advance.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Your router is already WPA2 and can't be changed. I suspect you haven't changed the network name (SSID) and password to that of the new router on the Xbox.
My xbox hasn't even seen my router and this is the message I get when I put in my SSID.
"Your security protocol won't work
This console supports WPA2/WPA3 (personal), WPA/WPA2 (personal), WPA2 (Personal) and WEP network security protocols, but your router is using something else. You'll need to change your routers configuration.
For info on changing your routers configuration please visit xbox/network hardware. After you've changed it check your network again. "
I'm so confused.
