Wall socket - spaghetti junction

Hi there, I'm having my house decorated next week and wanted to simplify the socket where the line comes in. As you can see from the photo it looks rather complex  - we have a cable for the hub and one for the phone so I'm sure it can be simpler than this but don't now where to start. Any help would be most welcome.

Thanks, Stu

Re: Wall socket - spaghetti junction

The only simplification you can make is to dispense with the socket doubler that for some reason you have plugged into the phone socket but are only using one of the 2 sockets.

Its hardly 'spaghetti junction'

Wow! That worked. Thank you licquorice. I feel very stupid. Any idea what the block at the back is behind the socket? I'm sure it doesn't need to be that deep. I'm wondering if the previous owners had it there and just fixed the BT block on top. Cheers, Stu
