Hi
I've just purchased a wi-fi repeater and although there is a manual with it, one its so small i have to use a magnifying glass to read it and two it's not making sense. I bought it wanting to just plug it in and it would auto connect to my hub and then i put it in the back room and away it would go. I'm almost 64 and i know most things about computers etc.... but this has me stumped, so any help would be appreciated. The repeater is a dodocool 2.4 & 5GHz 1200Mbps WiFi Repeater
Thanks in anticipation
Paul

Method 1 won't work as the device will be on a different subnet to the hub and hence your devices.
Method 2 should work.
As an aside, wifi repeaters are a poor choice to extend wifi, powerline adapters with wifi hotspot are a better option.

Thanks friend you may be right, so i'm gonna send this back to Amazon
just as a matter of interest, and if you'd be prepared to do this for me?
could you give me an idea of which one in the thousands of TP Link
Powerline adaptors, would you choose....?
Regards
Paul
Unless you have need for super fast speeds, the one that I use will be fine. Unless you have full fibre, your broadband speed will be the slowest link in the chain in any case.
