I assumed you have full fibre, the ONT is the optical modem, but if you don't have an ONT you must have a G.fast service. In which case it is not possible to bypass the hub.

Can you post a screenshot of your hub connection stats. Advanced settings > technical log > information

OK, you are getting 329Mbps sync speed to the hub. It might simply be congestion in the backhaul network that is causing the slow download speed. Try running a speedtest at a quiet time of the day ( very late night or very early morning) and see if the speed changes.
