Hi,
I have bt full fibre 900 with ethernet and WiFi speeds being v good using my tp link WiFi router.
A general question about WiFi 6 (not 6E) WiFi routers. I'm thinking of getting an Asus WiFi 6 WiFi router as we already have some WiFi 6 (not 6E) devices. My understanding is the WiFi 6 uses extra bandwidth on the 2.4 and 5ghz bands on router. On some YouTube videos about WiFi 6 across different brands like asus and tp link some say to keep 2.4 and 5ghz bands separate with different ssid and passwords, others say to not separate them and just have one SSID and password.
What is best option for a WiFi 6 device to get full WiFi potential from WiFi 6 router?
Many thanks
Giving the 2 bands different SSIDs or both the same will have no impact whatsoever on WiFi performance. The reason for different SSIDs is to enable a device to choose which band to connect to.
Many thanks
