brid.tv player

I subscribe to railcam.co.uk which are webcams. yesterday, monday, just after 5pm , the brid.tv player stopped working for user who use BT broadband. users of other ISPs, are not blocked. The sites other players work OK. Why would BT be blocking brid.tv player?

Re: brid.tv player

(a) it works for me with brid.tv player

(b) you can select a different player, you don't have to use brid.tv

Re: brid.tv player

Yes, I know , I can select a different player. However it is my best choice of player, for use with my main device. Also although you can access it (assuming you are an RC supporter), I understand from Admin that nearly 50% of supporters are affected and serious consideration is being given to ditching the player on the platform.
The question is why have BT decided to block the player after many years, or is it a “fault”?

Re: brid.tv player

No idea, I'm just a customer like you.

I don't use BT DNS, try using a different DNS server and see if that resolves the problem. You can't change it on the BT hub but you can manually set DNS on your laptop/PC/device.

Re: brid.tv player

BRID access returned today.

regarding your mention of changing DNS. Is there a guide anywhere, how to achieve this? I tried previously when BT, disconnected  RC’S DNS. But although given a code to try, couldn’t find how to implement. Thank you

Re: brid.tv player

Just go to your network adapter settings and change it from obtain DNS automatically to set manually and enter the details of your DNS server of choice. Google is 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4
